I am please to announce that I received a Gold Award in Maternity for September's SWPP photography competition, the certificate is now sitting pride of place alongside my other two 2014 Gold Awards in Fashion and Maternity respectively (Photographs below).
Definition of Gold Award: "these are deemed to be photographs of the highest standard and will be published in Professional Imagemaker magazine"
The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP) run monthly International photographic competitions with various categories to choose from, the Gold Award winning photographs then go forward to the SWPP Annual Competition with the results being announced during the awards dinner which is held every January at their London convention, the next one being January 2015.
I attended the Awards dinner earlier this year and it was an amazing experience, meeting and chatting with some of best photographers in the UK!!!

As well as the 3 Gold Awards achieved so far I have also received 7 Highly Commended Awards during 2014 in the following categories;
- Wedding Avant Garde
- Portrait Environmental
- Boudoir and Beauty
So I can hand on heart say I am chuffed to bits with what I've already achieved this year and with two months to go hopefully these awards won't be the last. The best thing about entering competitions is that it shows you how far you've come as a photographer and the areas you need to improve in. So my question to you is - why don't you enter??? Good luck!!!
All the best,
